Boris Demur was a multimedia artist, painter, theoretician, rebel, and humanist. His work consists mostly of painting, but also features elements of text, video, and performance art as crucial components of conceptual art practices. Demur was one of the founders of the Group of Six Authors, which was active in Zagreb from 1975 to 1979 and focused on artistic interventions in the public space. His work has been exhibited at the Museum Moderner Kunst, Vienna; Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana; Škuc Gallery, Ljubljana; Sao Paulo Biennial; Modern Art Museum, Wroclaw, and is part of many public and private collections, including the Kontakt Collection, Vienna; Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana; Museum of contemporary Art, Zagreb, among others
