Group Łódź Kaliska was founded in Łódź in 1979 by Marek Janiak, Jerzy Koba, Andrzej Kwietniewski, Adam Rzepecki, Andrzej Świetlik and Andrzej Wielogórski. The neo-avant-garde group investigated the photo-media aspect of seeing and recording, through photography, experimental film and performance art, drawing upon the traditions of conceptualism.
