Additional info:
Raoul Egon Lebel was a Romanian modern painter. Born in Bucharest, he permanently relocated to France in 1962. Lebel studied painting at the Fine Art Academy in Bucharest under the guidance of esteemed professors G.D. Mirea and Camil Ressu, and later at the Julian Academy in Paris. Lebel’s paintings demonstrate a clear artistic vision, working with a vibrant colour spectrum that immediately catches the viewer’s eye. This energetic aspect draws the audience into carefully geometrised, rigorously composed scenes, whether they are abstract representations, landscapes or scenes of everyday life. Lebel’s works are part of both public and private collections, achieving critical recognition in France and more recently in Romania.
