Description
András Mikola, a Hungarian painter, began his artistic training in Baia Mare in 1902 and continued at Ferenc Szablya-Frischauf's school. He studied in Paris at the Julian and Delécluse Academies in 1905. Upon returning to Hungary, he attended the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts and traveled through Germany and Italy in 1913. A member of the Society of Baia Mare Painters, he became its leader in 1927. After a hiatus during World War II, Mikola resumed artistic life in 1957. His memoirs were published in 1972, offering insights into his life and career.
