Additional info:

Anetta Mona Chișa’s practice is situated within the critical field of contemporary East European art, with a sustained interest in collaboration, installation and the shifting political grammar of post socialist societies. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava between 1994 and 2000, she developed a practice attentive to unstable systems of reference, technological change, capitalist structures and forms of social adaptation. Often working in dialogue with Lucia Tkáčová, Chișa received the Oskár Čepan Award in 2006 and later participated in Performing History at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011, alongside Tkáčová and Ion Grigorescu. Her solo and collaborative projects have been presented at Kunstraum Lakeside, Kunsthalle Bratislava, Museumcultuur Strombeek Gent, Waterside Contemporary in London, Galerie Christine König in Vienna, Salonul de proiecte in Bucharest and Neuer Berliner Kunstverein. Her work has also appeared in group exhibitions at institutions including the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest, Whitechapel Gallery, MUMOK in Vienna and the 10th Manifesta in St Petersburg
