Additional info:
Constantin Pacea is a Romanian painter with Greek-Italian heritage. Pacea’s introduction to the arts took place in his early childhood through his parents Ion and Lucreția Pacea, both well-known artists. He graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest, and shortly thereafter he was invited to exhibit at the Raphael Gallery in Düsseldorf. Paces's artistic practice implies a certain unpredictability that revolves around playfulness and a spontaneous work process. Through a ludic approach towards his paintings and a varied colour palette, Paces's representations embody the absence of work preparation as a method of shaping an emotional state of being. His practice thus seeks to reassemble the uniqueness of small accidents that occur during the painting process and that cannot be reproduced otherwise. His works have been presented locally and internationally, in both solo and group exhibitions in countries such as Switzerland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Romania, and the US.
