Description
Constantin Popovici was a Romanian artist, the son of the sculptor Ion Grigore Popovici and of the painter Nadia Popovici, he was known for his unique style and innovative approach to art. He was a skilled painter and sculptor, and his works were highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts. His legacy continues to inspire and influence artists today mostly through his most important monumental sculptures like: the bust of George Enescu (1958), the Statue of Prometheus with lightning in hand near Vidraru Dam (after 1965) and the Independence Monument in Oradea (1983).
