Gili Mocanu is a Romanian artist who burst onto the Romanian art scene in 2000 with his master’s degree show at the National University of the Arts, Bucharest, entitled “Gili is Dead.” He has since exhibited works in numerous solo and group shows at locations around the world, including Galeria de Salgadeiras, Lisbon; H’art Gallery, Bucharest; Backyard Gallery, Copenhagen; Donumenta, Regensburg; Romanian Cultural Institute, Paris; The Performance Art Institute, San Francisco; and who has works in the permanent collections of The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Bucharest, and MARe/Museum of Recent Art, Bucharest.
