Additional info:
Liviu Mihai is a Romanian artist working with painting, drawing and digital art. He studied graphic art at the National University of the Arts in Bucharest. Mihai’s paintings juxtapose abstract and figurative layers, delving into themes of conflict and inner introspection. This layered approach invites the viewer to inspect the work closely, refusing a quick assimilation of its messages and inviting nonsingular interpretations. The works of Liviu Mihai have been exhibited in Romania and internationally on multiple occasions. In 2022, he had a duo presentation with Richard Orlinski at Lanford Gallery in Cologne. Art fair participations include the Oxford International Art Fair in 2013 – where he was the third prize winner of the Best Artist Award – and The Other Art Fair London in 2017.
