Ludovic Bassarab was a Romanian painter heavily influenced by the techniques of German academic realism. He first studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Iași, and then in Munich. His works were exhibited at the Glaspalast, a grand exhibition space located in the city’s Botanical Garden that was destroyed in 1931, as well as in Berlin and at the Official Salon in Bucharest.
