Mihai Rusu was a Romanian artist who studied at the National University of Arts in Bucharest under the close supervision of renowned painters such as Al. Ciucurencu and O. Angheluță. His works have been presented in both solo and group shows in countries such as Germany, Poland, France, Romania and Italy. The main conceptual ground of Rusu's works involves a Constructivist representation of intimacy. Through a balanced and delicate choice of colours, he portrays different subjects such as couples, women, workers who find themselves in static landscapes. Rusu's perception over his abstract and figurative works imply a certain subtlety traced through the playful use of light and darkness. Mihai Rusu's works are part of important public and private collections from countries such as Canada, the United States, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Belgium, France and Romania.
