Mirela Moscu graduated with an MA from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Fine Art Department, and was a finalist of the Gilchrist Fisher Award in 2014. Her exhibition activity includes solo presentations at Suprainfinit Gallery, Bucharest, and Frameless Gallery, London, alongside projects at Lateral ArtSpace, Cluj-Napoca, and participations in international group exhibitions such as Nord Art, Kunstwerk Carlshütte, Budelsdorf. Formed within a tradition of figurative painting, Moscu develops compositions in which memory, folkloric motifs and constructed imaginaries intersect. The forest landscape, a recurrent setting in her work, operates as a spatial matrix for encounters between human and hybrid presences. Through a restrained chromatic register and carefully staged figuration, her practice addresses states of transition and perceptual ambiguity within a contemporary painterly framework.
