Neculai Păduraru is a Romanian sculptor and painter who graduated in 1975 from the National University of Art in Bucharest under the close guidance of his teacher Paul Vasilescu. His works have been presented in solo and group shows in countries such as Italy, France, US, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Hungary, and Romania. Through a skillful and versatile technique, Păduraru’s sculptural language is defined by his enthusiasm for mythological literature and modern representation techniques. In 2018, Neculai Păduraru received the Constantin Brâncuși Prize awarded by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR).
