Additional info:
Radu Pandele is an emerging Romanian artist who works with a wide array of mediums, ranging from painting and murals to sculpture and installation, while also incorporating digital techniques. He studied in Bucharest, Cluj, and Grenoble. Pandele is part of a new generation of Romanian artists eager to engage in artistic experimentation and conceptual art in order to reflect on our contemporary condition and challenge certain preconceived ideas, often from a nihilist and absurdist perspective. His recent body of work reflects on decaying selves and objects, which interestingly emerge from digital culture. Pandele employs 3D modelling techniques in his artistic process, giving rise to landscapes and scenes that gravitate between the materiality of physical reality and the seeming ethereality of the internet. Recently, Pandele’s works have been showcased at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest, the Ancien Musée de Peinture in Grenoble, Neumunster Abbey Cultural Center in Luxembourg, REA Art Fair in Milan, Mobius Gallery in Bucharest, IOPS in Xi’an, Chian.
