Description

Srđan Apostolović earned his master's degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. He has been exhibiting independently and as part of group exhibitions since 1988 in Serbia and abroad. In the eighties, he was a member of the Art Workshop of the Gallery of the Student Cultural Center (together with D. Petrović and Zdravko Joksimović). The exhibitions of this circle of artists, later joined by D. Krgović, have since been called “New Belgrade Sculpture” by the critics. Apostolović’s works can be found in numerous public and private collections (MSU Belgrade, MuVIM Valencia, MSU Zagreb, Murska Sobota Gallery, Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien, Kunsthale Recklinghousen, MSUV Novi Sad, Wiener Stadtische Beograd, and the Shadow Museum, among others).
