Additional info:
Ștefan Pelmuș is a contemporary artist who works with painting. Strongly influenced by Romanian folklore and Christian Orthodox iconography, Pelmuș translates a complex spiritual journey on the canvas, offering the viewer an encrypted access to his personal universe. His works compose archetypal manuscripts, in metaphorical visual narratives that take from Christian and shamanistic symbolisms. Detailed elements are juxtaposed over block colour backgrounds with a minute attention to hierarchy and positioning. His works have been exhibited in Belgium, Denmark, France, Romania.
