Description
Zlatan Vehabović is a Zagreb based artist, born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1982. He is considered an established CEE figurative painter and graphic artist. Vehabović earned his Ph. D. at the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb, where he is teaching as a professor today. His most notable exhibitions include: MoCA Zagreb, MoMA Zagreb, MoMA Dubrovnik, Stadt Museum Mainz, Center for Contemporary Art Hudson Valley, City Gallery Fellbach, City Gallery Labin, City Gallery Bihać, City Gallery Regensburg and Essl Museum Klosterneuburg.
Vehabović’s works are included in public and private collections such as: Albertina Modern Vienna, MoCA Zagreb, Lauba Collection Zagreb, Kranjčar Collection Zagreb, Antonić Cerin Collection Zagreb, Maistra Collection Rovinj, Mihael Šutalo Collection Copenhagen, Neda Young Collection New York, Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation New York and Marc Straus Collection New York.
Vehabović dedicates two to five years of his ouevre to each series of works, working meticulously and with precision on a single narrative. This gorgeous unique digital graphic is part of his latest series of works entitled An Atlas of the lesser World, inspired by Vehabović’s ongoing research of the Museum of Arts and Crafts Zagreb archives and currently on view at the Museum of Modern Art Zagreb.
