Description
Petru Feier (1912 - 1986) was a Romanian painter. He was a professor at the Ion Andreescu Art Institute in Cluj.
His later body of works, of which Composition (1966) is part, shows an experienced artist who has developed a particular style of abstraction and perspective on symbols, representing physical reality and the human body. His forest landscapes are lively explorations of different contrasts in light and colour, rendering the subtle movements of trees and the mesmerising complexity of natural environments.
His works are part of private and public collections, including the National Art Museum Cluj.
