A rectangular cigarette case with hinged lid, decorated in repoussé with a figural scene interpreted as battle or mythological subject matter. The relief composition occupies the principal field of the cover, creating a sculptural surface that contrasts with the functional geometry of the case.
The piece reflects late 19th-century German silver production, where narrative historicist imagery was frequently incorporated into personal accessories through repoussé work.
