Description
Sorin Dumitrescu studied painting under master Corneliu Baba from 1964 to 1970. In 1992, he founded the Anastasia foundation, which he oversaw as editor-in-chief (publishing over 400 titles by 2002), director of the video department (over 250 video documents), and curator of the image department (over 60 exhibitions at the Catacomba gallery, a contemporary art centre at the National Museum of Art of Romania). Dumitrescu received his PHD in visual arts from the Bucharest University of arts in 2005, and was appointed professor at the University.
