Description
A two-piece serving set comprising a fork and a server, executed in the Empire style. The handles are structured and slightly tapered, terminating in a shaped end engraved with the monogram “GM”. The restrained decoration and balanced proportions reflect a revival of classical forms, characteristic of late 19th-century French silver-plated tableware.
The set illustrates Christofle’s refined industrial production, where historical styles are adapted into versatile and durable service pieces suitable for general table use.
