Description
A fruit bowl of elevated form, raised on a circular foot and developed as a generous open bowl supported by a central stem. The proportions suggest a presentation piece conceived for table display, consistent with colonial silver produced for domestic and ceremonial use.
The piece is attributed to P. Orr & Sons, among the most important firms active in colonial India, known for silver that combined European forms with regional craftsmanship.
