Description
A set of cheese knives with serrated blades on both edges, designed for slicing and serving. The blades are executed in stainless steel, while the handles are silver-plated alpaca, shaped in an Art Nouveau manner with flowing, organic contours.
The combination of stainless steel blades and silver-plated handles reflects early 20th-century German production, where durability and functionality are integrated with decorative refinement. The serration on both sides of the blade suggests versatility in use.
The marks on the blades include the Wellner trademark with the three dwarfs and the inscriptions “Nicht Rostend” and “Rostfrei”, confirming stainless steel. The numbers “90” and “12” refer to the plating standard, indicating the quantity of silver used in plating a standard set of twelve knives.
